The EDPNC improves the economic well-being and quality of life for all North Carolinians by recruiting new businesses to the state, supporting existing employers, assisting companies with international trade, counseling small business and startups, and promoting North Carolina as a tourism destination.

The mission of the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce is to serve its members and community, promote the area and the quality of life, and work cooperatively to create and sustain an environment necessary for strong economic development.

The lifestyle in Laurinburg is relaxed and laid back, but never boring – not with year-round outdoor recreation, a vibrant arts scene, progressive community services and close proximity to beaches, the mountains, big city attractions, and college and professional sports.

Scotland County, North Carolina, leverages an impressive blend of rich natural resources and highly robust infrastructure to drive its agricultural and industrial economies. Situated in the fertile Coastal Plain region, the county boasts abundant agricultural land, rich soil profiles, and extensive timber resources managed by the N.C. Forest Service, alongside vital surface water networks like the Lumber River basin. Supporting these resources is a highly strategic logistics and utility infrastructure. Interstate 74 cuts directly through the heart of the county, granting businesses rapid access to I-95, the city of Charlotte to the west, and the major port city of Wilmington to the east.

North Carolina’s Southeast is a regional public-private partnership that markets the state’s Southeast Region – nationally and globally – to encourage new economic growth. Business and government leadership work together in this partnership to promote the region and its assets through The Southeastern Partnership, a 501c6 organization.
North Carolina’s Southeast facilitates economic development in our region through innovative marketing, capacity building, advocacy, and collaborative regional initiatives that result in job creation, capital investment, and regional prosperity.

The largest industrial park in the region sits on Southeast Regional Airport Authority’s land. These commercial and private industries strengthen Scotland County’s economy. SERAA continually works with our partners and government to form and maintain long-term relationships locally and globally.
